The 2015 Calgary Cougars will be evolving their program for the 2022/23 Winter season playing as A U9 PREP TEAM (pre-HSL) against other like-minded programs from across the province. Specifically, the U9 PREP TEAM will play a series of full-ice exhibition games (showcase series) as well as tournaments along with development practices.

PROGRAM SUMMARY
- Cougars U9 Prep Team will consist of 16 - 18 players
- Season runs early September to mid March
- Over 100 ice times (practices and games) with 3-4 skates per week
- Full ice practices and 5v5 gameplay
- Arenas include Olympic Oval and Hockey Hub
- Exhibition games vs local Calgary and area U9 Jr. Academy Prep teams
- 5 tournaments (2 tournaments requiring travel to Edmonton)
- Monthly technical skating sessions at the Olympic Oval
- Led by skating coach Marcel Lacroix (Speed Skating Canada's Coach of the Year)
- Indoor team building and multi-sport activities
- Educational presentations
- Team apparel (winter jacket, toque and dryland package)
- Custom Cougars jersey, pant shell, and socks with name and number
- Ice time and team events managed through TeamSnap
- Insurance included
- All-inclusive cost of $2,500 per player
- Player commitments required on or before July 27, 2022 ($1,000 deposit)
